Tastes Orangey...Etsey favorite

I can't claim discovery of these beautiful paintings. The constant-finder-of-all-things-lovely, Erika, is the one who introduced me to this artist's beautiful work.

And it's too good not to share.

I am SO in love with Clare's work. They're so emotive and full of life. I'd love to have a whole gallery wall of them someday.
Would make a lovely last minute gift, any gift givers out there..hint wink hint :)

Hallway Organization...

Loving this simple and lovely hallway update from {The Yellow Cape Cod}, a new favorite read of mine.

The chalkboard is just a large piece of MDF covered in chalkboard paint {less than $15 total}

Definitely go visit Sarah at the Yellow Cape Cod...so many great spaces and ideas

Some Truth from G.P.

Sometimes she rubs me wrong with a teeeny bit of snootiness.
Other times she says stuff like this and I love her again.

Fave fabrics from DwellStudio

I think sometimes DwellStudios gets overlooked as an amazing {adult!} fabric and design source.
Partly because their signature baby line of bold, graphic prints is so easily recognized...high end baby boutiques all the way down to Target carry their fun bedding and clothing.

I recently got my fabric sample book in for the 2012 collection and I'm SO in love with all of them.

Here are some of their pillows...
Ogee {Azure}

Thistle Vine {Amethyst}

Vintage Blossom {Persimmon}
Peacock {Azure}
Peacock {Citrine}
Gate {Citrine}
Labyrinth {Ash}

Medallion Band {Citrine}
Casablanca Geo {Aquamarine}
Ikat Trellis {Toffee}
Freja {Blush}
Batavia Ikat {Citrine}
Batavia Ikat {Aqua}
Vintage Plumes {Jade}
Vintage Blossom {Dove}
Gate {Charcoal}
Boteh {Jade}
Love. Love. Love.
And they have some gorgeous rugs in the same prints.

Have a great weekend!

blowing off the dust

Bit of a writing lull lately.
Entire seasons have gone by. Kardashians have gotten divorced. Housewives of B.H. have surely had more bouts with botox. I just keep going down the rabbit hole...finding a new amazing blog, which leads me to another great blog, which leads me to another, which leads me to piles of clean laundry not put away and children interrupting my browsing to demand things like food, water, and clean diapers. geez. needy.

So, to recap...there's too much to recap. Moving onward and upward.

We're finally painting all the upstairs rooms, one at a time. We've been in this house for 3 years now, and I swore I wasn't going to be one of those people who moves in and says "we're going to paint everything really soon!" and then lives with half-finished walls and color sample squares up for the rest of their lives. But then life happened and I am one of those people. Sigh.

The office is done. check.
Our bedroom is half done. half check. And the way I left off makes it look like a giant phallus of gray-blue paint is sprouting up from the ground towards the ceiling. Not on purpose. It's haunting my dreams and I will finish tomorrow.

We also finally put together a plan for the little powder room. Here it is, coming at you. bam.
powder room-our house I'm pretty much obsessed with the floors. And I'm having a bit of a gold moment.
I just really like how the warmth of the gold mirror and frames
play off the cooler gray and white of everything else.
I think every room in a home should have something sentimental in it.
Something that makes it yours.
So inside the antique frames are paintings done by Wes' grandmother.

Good Chat. We'll talk again soon.
