How to get Shade for your peepers AND help those in need {especially women and girls!!}
Summertime means sunglasses, and you could make a HUGE difference by wearing these ones, people!
TOM's revealed their much hyped new one-for-one product line...Sunglasses!
Staying in line with their buy-one-give-one promise, for every pair of sunglasses purchased, TOM's will give the gift of better vision to someone in need...targeting developing nations around the globe.
Read some of these facts, and you won't want to settle for any old pair from Target anymore...
Of the nearly 284 million people in the world who are visually impaired, almost 90% live in developing countries. It's a vicious cycle -- poverty and disease can lead to vision loss. And blindness and poor vision keep people trapped in poverty.
Two-thirds of people who are blind are women, in part because many families in developing countries are more likely to pay for eye care for male family members. By providing easy to access local eye care, we can help more women and girls around the world get sight saving and restoring services.
Blindness and visual impairment is the seventh-largest health disability in the world. But in most cases it can be prevented or treated. In fact, available solutions, including medical treatment, prescription eyeglasses or a 15-minute cataract surgery, could impact 80% of people afflicted with vision impairment and blindness.
There are 3 different styles...I would totally wear them all
Which ones do you like?

Here's the thing...
...and the thing is...
I was going to post about how I recently got this skirt:
I was going to post about how I recently got this skirt:
And how I love it. And how easy and breezy (and beautiful....cover girl) it is.
And how it is only $5 at Forever 21. And how they have it in peach and cream or grey and cream as well.
But then I woke up at 7am, snatched the tags off, all giddy-like at the idea of wearing new clothes and all hopped up on consumerism. Finished getting dressed for work in the semi-darkness of my room and skipped off to work.
And now this post must become a Public Service Announcement instructing buyers of this lovely skirt to perhaps strongly consider wearing nude panties as your undergarment of choice.
Here is a visual illustration.
this:
(i don't recall giving anyone permission to take pictures of my perfect, beautiful abs. so annoying)
not this:
(This is a pretty close replica)
(look, don't judge me. It's laundry day. and I may or may not have had these since college)
I will likely attempt to remain seated throughout the entire duration of my day at work.
I do have a rolling chair.
Katie for Loft...
I love Katie Holmes....
Tom Cruise is a wackadoo, and his whole scientology thing kind of weirds me out.
but Katie...I heart you.
I think her new pictures featuring Ann Taylor Loft's spring collection are lovely.

Loft is kind of hit or miss for me. Sometimes I can find pieces I love, and they're always really classic items that I keep for a long time. But other times they seem to lean a little "more mature" for me.
Here's some things I'm liking right now:
Dobby Seersucker Blazer
watercolor pebble print skirt
charlotte ruffle trim sheath
turquoise chip and pave rounds earrings
chambray sailor trouser pants
thoughts on loft?
my girl katie?
Happy Tuesday!

Forever twenty....eight
I know. The clothes are cheaply made and don't last forever, and their target demographic is a wee bit younger than me, and the models look so ridiculously young I had to use the close-up pictures where their heads are missing so I don't look like I'm picking things out from i'mateenagerandshopatthemall.com
But I don't care. I still love Forever21. Truly. Madly. Deeply. {name that band for 50 points}

As Green As The Grass...
One of my most favorite colors is that bright, new green from trees and bushes that just start to bloom.
Here are some springy green favorites from here, there and everywhere : )
