Etsy Love...Mother's Day Edition

Sometimes your husband just might need a subtle hint, dropped into casual conversation.

Other times he might need a direct link emailed to him with detailed instructions.

I'm going to go with the latter ;)

Here are some Etsy lovelies I just can't get out of my head...

itsy bitsy initial  necklaces...I'd like one with a "c" and one with a "j"...my girls' initials

Summer Time Canvas Tote

A pair of these...for my favorite chubby baby feet

...and a bright, twirly skirt for her sister

And this set of three prints to cheer up my hallway

What would you love to get (or give!)  for Mothers Day??

Etsy Love...The Wishing Elephant

This may not ring your bell if you don't have kiddo's, but I think they're too cute not to share.
The Wishing Elephant is an Etsy shop owned by Carolyn Caffelle.

Each onesie is appliquéd with hand-cut eco felt
(made from 100% post consumer recycled plastic bottles...so cool).

Her items are fun and whimsical, and not your run-of-the-mill "baby" themed designs.

Here are some of my faves

kiwi slice. gah. so cute.

Etch-a-sketch

for twinsies

Etsy Love...

Here's my second edition of Etsy Love

I am SO enamored by the prints from Etsy seller Black Baroque

She takes vintage images and prints them on antique pages
taken from real books and dictionaries.
At only $10 per print, wouldn't they make a unique and inexpensive
 hostess gift / birthday present / it's-monday-and-I-want-to-buy-myself-something-splurge?

I would love to have a whole set of them to incorporate into the gallery wall
I plan on making (and showing you!) soon.

The black frames are just for display purposes...
they come in a clear sleeve (like the one below),
so you can frame them in any color or style that you choose.

These are just a tiny selection of what she has in her shop.
Go check out some of the special prints she made just for Valentine's Day here!

Etsy Love...

If you don't already know about Etsy, you're missing out. You probably do. But humor me.
It's an amazing online marketplace for users to sell handmade or vintage items. I could  spend hours browsing through all the vendors...I'm continually blown away by how talented and artistic people are.
And even for the ones that really...well...aren't so creative or amazing...
(A stuffed potato made out of pantyhose with googely eyes? really?)
...I'm still impressed with their gumption to try something, make something, put something out there for other people to see.

Every once in a while I'm going to share an Etsy vendor who I love. I wish I had the money to snatch up all of their lovelies, but since I don't, maybe some of you rich moneybags will go and support an artist!

Kristi is the owner of Etsy shop "A Life Through The Lens"
She is a self-taught photographer who's images are so simple and sweet, with a touch of nostalgia.

She has lots more, but those are just some of my favorites.
Most of her prints are 8 X 10 and around $20.
She also has photo calendars that use one of her beautiful images for each month.
So perfect for an office....yours or a friends...like a friend whose birthday is March 2nd. Just Saying...

Go visit Kristi's Shop. It'll give you a few moments of calm if nothing else.

xoxo
